Living near a major city, I am very lucky that there are always events happening nearby. The variety and diversity of these events present different challenges for photography. Its these challenges and the quick reactions you need to capture the many fleeting moments that I really enjoy.
People
Similar to live music, I am fascinated by how much effort people put into events. Many spend hours on their Pride outfits, or years training for races, and spectators only get a glimpse of the result of all that work and effort. My goal with my camera is to try to capture at least some of that effort and energy people bring to these events.
Machines
I have always been a fan of motor racing and machines. Here is a selection of images taken during powerboat races, classic car meets, and other motorsport events.
